Artist Bio

Edinburgh based scottish artist.

The main motivation for my practice is the desire to capture transient moments in time. A recurring inspiration is the shifting light on the Scottish landscape and I am intent on distilling these moments. The meteorological palette of Scotland fascinates me, specifically the intrinsic dull greyness of it all. Through layering varnishes, inks and paint onto archival photo transfers I am partially addressing my heritage while capturing the quality of light.
